Caterer.com Hospitality Redeployment Hub helps hospitality people find work, with thousands of jobs in hospitality and other sectors

Earlier this year in response to the first hospitality lockdown, Caterer.com launched the Hospitality Redeployment Hub in partnership with UKHospitality and Hospitality Action.

This was a direct response to an urgent industry need, and the service is as relevant now as it was then. As the hospitality job board, Caterer.com works with the industry to help hospitality people find the right jobs for them and progress their careers.

Hospitality jobs for hospitality people

The Redeployment Hub showcases thousands of open hospitality roles for those who love the sector and want to stay within it. Hospitality people are loyal, with real passion for the industry, and this means that wherever possible they want to continue their careers in pubs, bars, cafes, restaurants and hotels.

Caterer.com is doing all they can to enable that, through collaboration with industry bodies and initiatives, through our own Career Advice Hub and through the Redeployment Hub.

Since launch, the Hub has showcased over 120,000 live jobs and delivered over 2 million job applications. There are currently in excess of 38,000 live roles on the site, with thousands in hospitality, as well as other sectors.

Working with the industry, for the industry

Through our partnerships with key industry bodies and organisations, the jobs on the hub are also available within the websites for The Institute of Hospitality, Only A Pavement Away, Food Service Circle and the recently launched CareerScope (the industry careers advice hub built in collaboration with UKHospitality, Institute of Hospitality, Hospitality Action, Springboard and other key partners). This gives the jobs on Caterer.com an unrivalled hospitality audience reach and means we can help as many people (and employers) as possible.

Technology to support hospitality people

All the jobs on Caterer.com are all fully searchable to match individual jobseeker needs, using unique search and match technology. Candidates can narrow the jobs down to those that meet their requirements by specialism, skill, sector, location, salary, role type, employer brand, or even specific keywords such as ‘Michelin’, ‘new opening’ or ‘customer care’.

Jobseekers can also set up targeted alerts which send them notifications on the latest jobs relevant to their job search. Plus, they can download a Caterer.com app to make job search and application easier still.

Taking transferable hospitality skills into other sectors

Kate Nichols, CEO of UK Hospitality commented “Hospitality businesses have had to make the incredibly difficult decision to lay key team members off.  We want to give our fantastic workforce all the support we can to help them through this difficult period. This initiative will help people find work in other sectors until the hospitality sector is in a position to pick up the pieces and bring their hard-working teams back together.”

Mark Lewis, CEO of Hospitality Action commented: “We’re delighted to be standing shoulder to shoulder with Caterer.com and UKHospitality as they rally together to provide employment opportunities to many thousands of hospitality’s most vulnerable people.  Employers can look forward to welcoming an army of highly trained, motivated, passionate and professional hospitality people to their ranks.”

Speaking about the Redeployment Hub Neil Pattison, Sales Director of Caterer.com said,

“All hospitality employees in the UK can directly tap into this free service to search and apply for thousands of roles in sectors such as retail, distribution and care as well as the hospitality jobs for which Caterer.com is so well known. The hospitality sector is resilient, as are its people. When the industry thrives again, Caterer.com along with its partners will help welcome these candidates back to hospitality.”

Do share the link to the Redeployment Hub with your employees and peers, to spread the word, and help as many hospitality people as possible.
