The UK’s bravest and best hospitality employers are creating innovative programmes to recruit, develop and retain talent.
Boasting incredible standards and quality of service in some of the finest hotels and restaurants in the world, the UK hospitality sector provides jobs to 7% of the working population and despite the uncertainty of an approaching Brexit, business continues to be strong.
The industry is constantly undergoing change and development. Candidates faced with a range of job choices are becoming more decisive in what they want from their employers. Applicants are negotiating salaries, selecting benefits and hours to shape the career path that’s right for them. The well-documented skills shortage is being felt across the country and hospitality companies must work doubly hard to stay relevant to candidates in this competitive space. With audacious programmes and initiatives, UK hospitality employers are rising to the occasion to attract, develop and retain the talent they desperately need amidst high competition.
The bravest and best of these initiatives were celebrated on October 1st, at the glittering Caterer.com People Awards 2018. Comedians, Josh Widdicombe and Alex Brooker hosted the ceremony at Park Plaza Westminster Bridge which was attended by over 500 industry professionals.
Best practice by employers garners best results: the winners of these prestigious awards demonstrated determination and an unrivalled understanding of their industry and their workforce.
Neil Pattison, Sales Director for Caterer.com said, “Congratulations go out to all of the shortlisted and especially to our winners.
